How to Apply for Employment

Unless otherwise instructed, job applications/ resumes must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the closing date listed in the job posting.  Job applications/ resumes may be received between regular office hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (except statutory holidays), by one of four ways:

by email to the contact name listed in the job posting;
in person at the Municipal Office at 1415 Hankin Ave, Telkwa;
by postal service addressed to the contact name listed in the job posting, at Village of Telkwa, PO Box 220, Telkwa, BC, V0J 2X0; or
by fax to the Municipal Office at 250-846-9572


Short Listing and Interviews

Village staff reviews all applications and materials submitted to determine if the minimum qualifications and/or special requirements stated in the job posting are met. Staff then ‘short lists’ and arranges interviews within three weeks of the closing of the job posting.  Typically, a minimum of three candidates will be interviewed.  Applicants not making the ‘short list’ will not be contacted.
