Council Meetings are now on Microsoft Teams!
The Village of Telkwa will be using a new platform to stream Council Meetings. Starting on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021, Council Meetings will be streamed through Microsoft Teams.
HOW TO JOIN THE MEETING:
An account is not required to join a Council meeting. All you need is the log in information provided in the Community Calendar on our website (telkwa.ca/calendar).
Microsoft Teams meetings can be accessed on a tablet, smart phone, landline, or computer. We recommend using a desktop or laptop computer as it is easier to participate when you have a microphone and camera. A stable internet connection is necessary as well. If you don’t have a built-in camera or microphone on your device, earbuds or headphones with a built-in mic work well.
On your Computer, Tablet, or Smart Phone:
To join the meeting on your computer, tablet, or smart phone, click the meeting link found on the Community Calendar (telkwa.ca/calendar). You can join the meeting in your browser; however, it is recommended that you use the Teams App (a download link appropriate for your device will be provided when you join the meeting). Enter your first and last name and press “Join now”. You will be placed in the lobby and once the meeting is ready to start, our staff will admit you to the meeting.
Please ensure that your microphone is muted during the meeting. If you would like to speak during Public Comment, please use the “Raise Hand” feature and the Mayor will call on you when it is your turn to speak.
On a Landline/Cell Phone:
Dial the Teams Audio Conference Number shown on the Community Calendar (telkwa.ca/calendar). You will be asked to enter the meeting ID followed by #. You will be placed in the lobby and once the meeting is ready to start, our staff will admit you to the meeting.
Please ensure that your microphone is muted during the meeting. You can toggle mute on and off by pressing *6.
