Zoning Bylaw Update Survey Results

The Village of Telkwa Zoning Bylaw was adopted in 2013 and is one of the main tools used to implement the Official Community Plan. As part of the Zoning Bylaw update process, the Village distributed a survey to gather input from its residents on a variety of topics. Key areas of feedback requested included:

• permitted uses on a parcel

• setbacks and building siting on parcel

• recreational vehicle storage

• secondary suites

• home-based businesses and industries

• off-street parking requirements

The survey was made available online and via hardcopy (available at the Village office) from July 28 to August 28, 2020. The survey was promoted in the community newsletter and on the Village’s Facebook page. This memo (see document link below) provides a summary of the survey highlights.
