THINGS TO DO IN TELKWA

Telkwa is surrounded by spectacular lakes, scenic rivers and breathtaking mountains that offer a beautiful experience year-round to both visitors and residents.  The meeting point of the Telkwa and Bulkley Rivers, combined with two historic bridges, visible from the scenic Riverside Trail, provide the perfect photography opportunity.

Whether you love to hike to an alpine lake, raft through white-water rapids, cross country ski in soft powder, or battle the will of large steelhead; Telkwa has year-round wilderness adventures. Local sightseeing and adventure tour operators offer various organized packages from world-class hunting, sport fishing and flight charters.

Historic Walking Tour

​

The many restored heritage buildings take you back to Telkwa's pioneer days.  The self-guided walking tour is designed to help you discover the history of existing buildings and what you might have seen in Telkwa in the early 20th century.

​

Be sure to check out the Telkwa Museum and St. Stephen’s Anglican Church to view some interesting facts and artifacts.

​

Please be mindful that many of the stops on this tour are now private homes and not open to the public.
