The Ministry of Transportation and Transit will undertake a seal coat surfacing project in the Telkwa area, with an anticipated start date of the week of July 28th. The estimated duration of the works is approximately 8 weeks.   The sealcoating will be located along Tyhee Lake Road, Tyhee road, Telkwa High Road, Babine Lake Road, Old Babine Lake Road (Starting at Billetter Rd Joint), and Hudson Bay Mountain Rd (starts at Seymour Lake Rd). Please see the attached map for an overview of the project.   Please keep travel speeds down to minimize or prevent flying rocks and stones.  Dust can be expected through the course of construction and immediately afterwards.   The project will have Single Lane Alternating Traffic for the crack sealing operations and 24-hour Pilot Car assisted traffic control in effect during the seal coat operations with delays of up to 20 minutes. Please watch for workers and obey traffic control. Please refer to the attached pamphlet on what Seal Coating is and how it may impact your drive.

After undergoing both council and public input, the report reflects a collaborative effort to highlight the community’s achievements, financial position, and priorities for 2024. Key features include updates on infrastructure projects, strategic goals, financial summaries, and community engagement efforts.
