The Village of Telkwa is announcing the first phase of community engagement for the Village of Telkwa Official Community Plan (OCP). This long-range plan is a vision for the future that will guide the growth and development of Telkwa.
An OCP creates a vision and helps to set priorities and strategies for the future of a community. It guides land use, housing, economic development, environment, recreation, art and culture.

Our Why?
The Village of Telkwa’s OCP was last updated in 2011. The new OCP will align with the existing Village plans, strategies and housing priorities. Community engagement is an important part of this process. Over the next year, the Village will meet with the community to create a plan that aligns with the community vision.
Phase One
This phase of consultation is open from June 19, 2025 to August 31, 2025. The next phase will include a draft Community Vision and Goals presented in the fall. For more information about the OCP and how to participate visit this page for any updates.
