People are connected by two rivers, community spirit, and cycling and walking pathways. Telkwa continues to nurture local commerce and greet visitors with unique amenities and services."

Mayor's Message

It’s important that we hear from our residents—your input will help guide how Telkwa grows and thrives in the years ahead. Together, we can build a vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous future for everyone who calls Telkwa home.”
Our Why?
The Village of Telkwa’s OCP was last updated in 2011. The new OCP will align with the existing Village plans, strategies and housing priorities. Community engagement is an important part of this process. Over the next year, the Village will meet with the community to create a plan that aligns with the community vision.
Phase Four
The Village of Telkwa Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 801 received first reading at the June 23, 2026 Regular Council Meeting. In this phase the Village is seeking input from agencies, authorities and community organizations that may be affected by the new Village of Telkwa Official Community Plan.
