Cross-Country Skiing

Many say that the winter trails are even more stunning than the summer ones around our Village.

There are approximately 30 km of trails around Tyee Mountain on the north side of Tyhee Lake that are maintained by volunteers. For more information, please visit Tyee Mountain Trails.

Downhill Skiing & Snowboarding

Horse-Drawn Sleighrides

Ice Skating
​
Telkwa has two outdoor rinks for public use. Woodland Rink is located in the Woodland subdivision and the Dockrill Rink is located on Riverside Street.
When the conditions are right, skate on the expansive ice of Tyhee Lake or Round Lake.

Snowmobiling
​
The Smithers Snowmobile Association maintains 6 mountain cabins in the area and trail user fees go to the club. Popular snowmobiling areas include:
