Nomination period is open! Completed nomination packages for the 2026 General Local Election will be accepted from 9:00am September 1 to 4:00pm on September 11. Nomination packages are still available for pick up at the Village office, but completed packages must be returned before the 4:00pm deadline on September 11.

Planned BC Hydro Power Outage BC Hydro will be completing work requiring a temporary power interruption for all Telkwa residents. Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2026 Time: 10:00 p.m. – Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 4:00 a.m. (estimated) This is an overnight outage. Residents are encouraged to prepare by turning off major appliances, unplugging sensitive electronics, and making arrangements if they rely on electric medical equipment or powered access systems.
